Bristol Rovers' Vertu Trophy fixture against Plymouth Argyle at The Memorial Stadium will be refereed by Aaron Farmer.
Farmer has taken charge of ten fixtures this term, with four coming in the Vertu Trophy. The referee has also overseen games in the National League, Premier League 2 and most recently the Emirates FA Cup, where Gateshead beat AFC Wimbledon in the first round.
He has refereed 37 fixtures in the National League, more than any other competition, closely followed by 35 in the National League South and 20 in the Premier League 2. Farmer has never officiated a fixture including Rovers or Plymouth.
Alongside him will be assistant referees David Middleton and Marcus Carmichael. Justin Amey has been appointed as the fourth official.
