Salisbury v Bristol Rovers
Pre-season, The Raymond McEnhill Stadium, Saturday 11 July 2026, 2pm KO

Bristol Rovers will look to continue their winning start to pre-season when they travel to The Raymond McEnhill Stadium to face Salisbury.

The Pirates returned to action on Tuesday night against National League outfit Weston-super-Mare, coming away with a comfortable 3-0 victory. Steve Evans started all of his summer additions, including Bobby Kamwa, who scored his first goal in the blue-and-white quarters after making the most of a defensive mistake to net with a simple finish.

Rovers doubled their lead just before half-time through Mees Rijks, who started the attack by winning the ball back before getting on the end of Ellis Harrison's cross to head in from close range. The Gas changed their entire team in the second half and added another goal after the break, with Promise Omochere flicking a header into the bottom corner after getting on the end of Isaac Hutchinson's ball into the box.

The Whites finished 17th in the National League South last season, earning 53 points in 46 games.

Opposition…

Salisbury was formed in 2015 after the liquidation of Salisbury City and is in the National League South after moving up the divisions over the previous decade.

The Whites started in the Wessex League Premier in the 2015/16 season, finishing as champions with 105 points. They did not stop there and competed in back-to-back promotions, finishing second in the Southern League Premier Division.

They were in the Southern League Premier Division for five campaigns before gaining promotion to the National League South in 2024, beating AFC Totton on penalties in the play-off final. They finished 20th in their first season in the sixth tier before ending last term in 17th.

Salisbury has made several signings to strengthen their squad. Caine Bradbury, Jaiden Bartolo, Harry Thomas, Robbie Gallagher, Will Henry, whilst Ollie Morgan and Richard McIntyre have returned permanently after successful loans from Bournemouth and Oxford United, respectively.
