Milton Keynes Dons v Bristol Rovers
Sky Bet League Two, Stadium MK, Tuesday 27 January 2026, 7:45pm KO

Bristol Rovers will be looking to start the week with a win when they travel to Milton Keynes Dons on Tuesday night in Sky Bet League Two.

Head Coach Steve Evans will want an immediate reaction after his team fell to a 1-0 loss away to Salford City on the weekend, with Ryan Graydon scoring the only goal of the contest after eight minutes.

The Gas have lost back-to-back fixtures in the fourth tier and will be looking to get 2026 back on track after a thumping win over Shrewsbury Town on New Year's Day, with Fabrizio Cavegn netting a superb second-half hat-trick. The away fixture against Paul Warne's men is their last on the road until midway through February, with a trio of fixtures at The Memorial Stadium coming up.

MK Dons beat Shrewsbury Town 5-1 last time out, with Callum Paterson netting a hat-trick alongside strikes from Luke Offord and Dan Crowley.

Follow local signs to Stadium Way West, where Stadium MK is clearly marked.

Opposition...

MK Dons are in Sky Bet League Two for the third successive season, but after a disappointing campaign last term, they have their sights set on a return to the third tier.

Warne's men finished 19th in the table after a season with three different permanent managers and two interims, but a consistent voice and a strong summer transfer window have put them right in the mix for promotion.

A run of only three defeats in 18 Sky Bet League Two matches has seen them move into third position, two points below Salford in second place and eight behind Bromley at the top of the table.

MK Dons have further strengthened their squad in the January transfer window. Ben Wiles moved to the Club on a permanent deal from Sky Bet League One team Huddersfield Town, Jay Matete joined on loan from Premier League team Sunderland and Curtis Nelson switched from Sky Bet Championship side Derby County.

Previous Meetings...

Rovers will be looking for revenge after falling to a 4-0 defeat to MK Dons at The Mem earlier this season, with an Alfie Kilgour own goal followed by efforts from Laurence Maguire, Alex Gilbey and Rushian Hepburn-Murphy.

The Gas have lost five of their previous seven games against the Dons across all competitions, with Rovers' previous win away win against their upcoming opponents coming in 2022. Antony Evans struck the winner for the Gas from the penalty spot.

In fact, Rovers' win in 2022 was their last league visit to MK Dons. They have never won back-to-back games against them, with the Dons also holding an incredible midweek record. They have never lost on a Tuesday in Sky Bet League Two, winning 16 and drawing six.
