Crawley Town v Bristol Rovers

Crawley Town v Bristol Rovers
Sky Bet League Two, Broadfield Stadium, Saturday 25 October 2025, 3:00pm KO

Bristol Rovers will look to end October on a high when they travel to Crawley Town for their final Sky Bet League Two fixture of the month on Saturday.

The Pirates have lost their last three fixtures in the fourth tier, most recently falling to a 4-1 defeat to Tranmere Rovers at The Memorial Stadium last weekend. Nathan Smith and Josh Davison scored on either side of a brace from Connor Jennings, with Alfie Chang netting a consolation for the Pirates in the closing stages.

Darrell Clarke’s side will be hoping they can return to the highs of the previous months, which saw the club go on an eight-game unbeaten run in all competitions. Rovers last won towards the end of September, with Ellis Harrison and Fabrizio Cavegn scoring in a comeback win over Salford City.

Crawley lost to Shrewsbury Town in their last fixture after a late winner from defender Will Boyle gave the Shrews the three points.

Travel…

Start by heading northeast on the M32 and merging onto the M4 eastbound. Continue for about 80 miles, then join the M25 clockwise around London. After roughly 30 miles, take the exit for the M23 southbound toward Crawley. Exit at Junction 11 and follow signs for Crawley town centre via the A23. Broadfield Stadium is located just off Winfield Way and is clearly signposted as you approach. The drive typically takes around 2 hours and 30 minutes, depending on traffic.

If you're travelling by train, begin at Bristol Temple Meads and take a service to London Paddington. From there, transfer to London Victoria via the Underground, then catch a Southern train to Crawley station. The stadium is a short walk or local bus ride from the station.

Opposition...

Crawley have been on a rollercoaster in the last few years. After earning promotion from Sky Bet League Two via the playoffs in the 2023/24 campaign, the Red Devils lost their manager, Scott Lindsay, after he joined Milton Keynes Dons. However, Lindsay would return late into the season but could not help the Red Devils avoid relegation back to the fourth tier.

Crawley have struggled in the early stages of the season, finding themselves in 23rd place in the table, triumphing in only two of their first 13 matches.

The Red Devils were active in the summer window, bringing in 15 new faces to bolster Scott Lindsay’s ranks, including Reece Brown, Jay Williams, and Kabongo Tshimanga, the latter joining from Peterborough in Sky Bet League One.

Previous Meetings...

Rovers have played out many close games with Crawley Town in recent years. In the last seven meetings across all competitions, the sides have only been separated by one goal at most, with the Gas winning three, Crawley winning three, and one fixture ending in a draw.

The Red Devils have gotten the better of the Pirates recently and are unbeaten in their last four matches, with their spell of form in this encounter coming after the Gas had been unbeaten in six against them.

The last Gas win against the Red Devils was in March 2022, when Harry Anderson and Aaron Collins scored to give Rovers a 2-1 win. Last term, the two teams played out a goalless draw at The Mem before Crawley won 1-0 at Broadfield Stadium, with Kamari Doyle netting the only goal in the contest.
