Cheltenham Town v Bristol Rovers
Sky Bet League Two, The EV Charger Points Stadium, Saturday 22 November 2025, 3pm KO
Bristol Rovers will attempt to get back to winning ways when they travel to Cheltenham Town in Sky Bet League Two.
The Pirates have had an indifferent set of results in November, having success in cup competitions and struggling in the league. Rovers beat Bromley in the Emirates FA Cup and Plymouth Argyle in the Vertu Trophy but lost to Gillingham and Accrington Stanley in the fourth tier.
The Gas fell to a 3-1 defeat away to Stanley in their last outing despite showing plenty of positive signs. Kamil Conteh struck a deserved equaliser in the second half, but Rovers conceded twice in five minutes to lose for the sixth straight time in Sky Bet League Two.
The Robins lost 3-2 to Tranmere in a five-goal thriller in their previous match. Tranmere looked like they were in control when a James Wilson own goal, and Joe Ironside gave them a two-goal lead inside 11 minutes before efforts from Cheltenham's Jordan Thomas and Josh Martin levelled the score.
However, Cheltenham netted another own goal to lose for the second consecutive game, with Charlie Whitaker's free kick coming off goalkeeper Joe Day and into the back of the net.

Follow the A40 and then take the A46 into the town centre. From there, follow signs for Whaddon Road or The EV Charger Points Stadium. The stadium is located on Whaddon Road, northeast of the town centre.
By train, Cheltenham Spa Railway Station is located on the opposite side of Cheltenham Town centre to Whaddon Road. It is a 40-minute walk via the town centre.
Opposition...
Cheltenham might be in the relegation zone, but the Robins have been strong under new manager Steve Cotterill. The 61-year-old, who is back at the club after leading them to three promotions between 1997 and 2002, led Cheltenham to ten points out of a possible 12 in his first four fixtures, with wins over Fleetwood Town, Newport County and Walsall.
However, back-to-back defeats to Notts County and Tranmere Rovers have seen them slip back into the relegation zone, but the narrow margins of their losses show they are much harder to beat. Isaac Hutchinson leads their scoring ranks with four goals in Sky Bet League Two, but he cannot play against his parent club.
This is Cheltenham's second consecutive season in Sky Bet League Two after being relegated from the third tier in the 2023/24 season. The Robins finished 15th last term and, despite currently being lower down the table, they will have confidence in moving up the league with Cotterill at the helm.
Fanzone...
Cheltenham's fanzone will be open from midday on Saturday. There is no bar inside the ground, with the fanzone right next to the away end.

Previous Meetings...
This will be the second time the two teams have met at the EV Charger Points Stadium after coming up against each other in the Vertu Trophy group stages. The Pirates won the first meeting, with Luke Thomas netting the only goal with a superb finish from the edge of the box in October.
Rovers have gotten the better of the Robins in recent years and have only lost one of their previous 12 meetings across all competitions. The Gas won their last league game away to Cheltenham in April 2024. Scott Sinclair, Brandon Aguilera and Elkan Baggott all scored in a 3-1 victory.
The Gas last lost away to Cheltenham in September 2008. Former Rovers player Barry Hayles struck twice for Cheltenham in a 2-1 win, with Rickie Lambert netting the Pirates' goal.
