Bristol Rovers v Salford City
Sky Bet League Two, Memorial Stadium, Saturday 27 September 2025, 3:00pm KO
Bristol Rovers will be looking to stretch their unbeaten run to seven matches in Sky Bet League Two when they face Salford at The Memorial Stadium.
The Pirates drew their seventh point from their previous three away outings when they drew 1-1 with Colchester United last weekend. After some skilful saves from Luke Southwood, Fabrizio Cavegn gave the Pirates the lead in the first half before Micah Mbick levelled soon after the break.
The draw against the U's ended Rovers' four-game winning streak in the fourth tier, but Darrell Clarke's men will still have plenty of confidence after a strong run of results.
Salford have had an impressive campaign so far, most recently winning 3-2 against Swindon Town with a late tap-in from Kallum Cesay to emerge victorious and climb up the Sky Bet League Two table into the number two spot.

Opposition…
Salford have been on an upward trajectory through the football pyramid since their promotion to the National League in the 2017/18 season and their subsequent promotion into League Two.
Previously known as Salford Amateurs, hence the nickname ‘Ammies’, Salford have had experience through many leagues. They finished fourth in the National League North 2016-17 season and won promotion the following season.
The Ammies spent a year in the National League, being promoted to Sky Bet League Two in the 2018/19 season and have been a force to be reckoned with ever since. In the 2024/25 term, they finished eighth overall with 69 points.
Salford are currently standing second on the Sky Bet League Two table, having already won six of their nine matches and drawing once. Karl Robinson is the current manager of Salford City, having been appointed in January 2024.
In May 2025, David Beckham and Gary Neville completed a takeover of Salford City. They bought out the rest of the Class of ’92 since their arrival at the club in 2014.
