Bristol Rovers v Notts County
Sky Bet League Two, The Memorial Stadium, Saturday 29 November 2025, 3:00pm KO
Bristol Rovers will return to The Memorial Stadium when they host Notts County in Sky Bet League Two this weekend.
The Pirates will be looking to turn their form around after losing their previous seven fixtures in the fourth tier, with the Gas also looking to earn their first victory at home in the league since a thrilling comeback win over Salford City at the end of September.
However, Rovers did win their previous fixture at home, beating Sky Bet League One outfit Plymouth Argyle in the Vertu Trophy, with Kamil Conteh scoring a stoppage-time winner to help the Gas finish top of the Southern Group B.
The Pirates lost to Cheltenham Town last weekend and are up against a County team looking for a reaction of their own after losing 3-1 to Colchester United at Meadow Lane in their previous outing.

Opposition...
County are spending their third consecutive season in Sky Bet League Two and will have their eyes on promotion after missing out last season. The Magpies improved on their 14th-place finish in the 2023/24 season to end the previous campaign in sixth position, but it could have been better for Stuart Maynard's men.
Notts won just one of their final six matches to miss out on an automatic promotion spot before losing 2-0 on aggregate to AFC Wimbledon in the semi-finals of the playoffs. Head Coach Maynard was replaced by Martin Paterson, who has done a good job at the club so far.
County are in fifth position, two points outside the automatic promotion places, with their defeat to Colchester last weekend ending their six-match unbeaten run in the fourth tier.
The remainder of 2025 could be massive for Notts if they want to achieve the ambitions this term. After Rovers, they exclusively face teams in the top nine positions of Sky Bet League Two, playing Milton Keynes Dons twice as well as coming up against Grimsby Town, Walsall and Chesterfield.
Previous Meetings...
Rovers have not played the Magpies that often in recent history, but do boast a good record against their upcoming opponents. The Gas have only lost one of the last seven meetings between the two teams across all competitions, winning five, but did lose the last tie between the clubs.
It came at Meadow Lane, with Rovers surrendering a two-goal lead in the second round of the Emirates FA Cup, with Liam Sercombe and Stuart Sinclair netting for the Gas before a brace from Ryan Yates and goals from Jon Stead, now an Assistant Head Coach at the Pirates, and Jorge Grant secured County the victory.
Rovers' last win over the Magpies at The Mem came in 2010, with Will Hoskins bagging a brace in a 2-1 victory in Sky Bet League One.
