Bristol Rovers WFC v Marine Academy Plymouth, Adobe Women FA Cup, Yate Town FC, Sunday 5th October, 2:00 pm
Bristol Rovers Women return to their alternative home at Yate Town FC this weekend as they begin their FA Cup campaign against Marine Academy Plymouth.
The Gas Girls head into the game after suffering their first defeat of the season last weekend against a strong tier-three Plymouth Argyle side in cup competition. However, this Sunday brings a fresh challenge, and Rovers will be aiming to carry their unbeaten league form into the FA Cup as they look to build on last season’s historic run, when the club reached the fourth round for the very first time.

Opposition...
Marine Academy Plymouth currently sit ninth in the league table, six places behind Rovers, who are unbeaten and in third. Their campaign so far has seen one win, one draw, and three defeats. They also suffered defeat in cup action last weekend, their third cup loss of the season, which ended their journey in that competition.
Last Meeting …
The sides have already met this season in the league, with Rovers taking all three points thanks to second - half goals from Captain Rianne Bourne - Hallett and Laura Barrett, who netted her second of the season.
In last season’s FA Cup, the two sides met in the third round, where Rovers claimed a 5 - 0 victory. The game was lit up by four goals from Meg Jarvis, a result that secured the Gas Girls’ first ever appearance in the fourth round and an unforgettable opportunity to take on WSL giants Aston Villa.
