Bristol Rovers v Bridgwater United,
FA Women’s National League, Oaklands Park Stadium, Sunday 1st February, 14:00 pm
Bristol Rovers go into the upcoming fixture full of confidence after a sensational 10–0 victory over Worthing at the Memorial Stadium last week. The Gas produced a flawless attacking display, with hat-tricks from Amelie Gould, Chloe Bassett, and new signing Chloe Snook, while also securing their tenth clean sheet of the season.
Rovers dominated from the opening whistle, establishing a four-goal lead by half-time before continuing the same momentum after the break. Alongside the goals, their high press, control in possession, and defensive solidity underlined a statement performance and the first 10–0 scoreline in the National League this season.
With momentum firmly behind them, the Gas Girls will be aiming to carry this form into the week ahead as they continue an excellent start to 2026.

Opposition...
Bridgwater currently sit fourth in the table, one place behind the Gas Girls. Their campaign has been mixed, opening with a defeat before collecting seven wins, two draws, and three losses.
December proved challenging, with back-to-back defeats and no goals scored, but 2026 began more positively with victories over Worthing and Maidenhead, before a recent loss to league leaders Swindon.
Previous Meetings...
The two sides met earlier this season in the league, with the match ending in a goalless draw – Rovers’ first and only draw of the campaign. They met again in the cup, where the Gas Girls took the upper hand with a strong 4–1 victory, although it did mark Rovers’ first goal conceded of the season.
Last season, both teams claimed a win. Rovers took the first meeting with a dominant 4–0 home victory, with Meg Jarvis scoring twice, while Bridgwater edged the return fixture 1–0 thanks to a second-half goal. Despite scoring twice against Bridgwater last season, Jarvis will not feature for the Gas Girls and could instead line up for the opposition this weekend after opting to spend the remainder of the season with Bridgwater.
