Tommy Leigh has been nominated for the PFA Select Car Leasing League Two Fans' Player of the Month Award for March.
The midefeilder had an outstanding start to the month and was the match-winner in the Gas' 2-1 victory over Crewe Alexandra at The Memorial Stadium.
With Rovers trailing the Railwaymen in the closing stages, Leigh headed in Joel Senior's cross to level the score before driving in his second in the final moments of the contest, securing all three points for the hosts in dramatic style.
Just three days later, Leigh was at it again. The Pirates made the long trip to Barrow for a midweek match, and Leigh broke the deadlock, getting on the end of Jack Sparkes' looped pass to convert cleverly from close range. It helped Steve Evans' men on their way to a 2-0 triumph, with Fabrizio Cavegn also netting.
Leigh then bagged his fourth goal in three matches against Shrewsbury Town, drilling a deflected shot from the edge of the box beyond Matthew Cox and into the bottom corner to confirm the victory.
