The striker, who had netted in his previous three outings, showed his confidence in front of goal with a brilliant finish into the bottom corner after collecting a pass from Ellis Harrison.
However, Darrell Clarke's men could not keep up their strong display from the opening 45 minutes and conceded twice in nine minutes, with Aaron Pressley netting both goals. The Gas are next in action when they travel to Cheltenham Town in the Vertu Trophy on Tuesday.
