Bristol Rovers have returned to England after a worthwhile warm-weather training camp in Spain.
The Pirates trained at Murcia's Pinatar Arena between Sunday 6 July - Sunday 13 July 2025 in preparation for the 2025/26 Sky Bet League Two season, with the players working hard under new Head Coach Darrell Clarke and his coaching team.
While over in Spain, Rovers also confirmed the addition of two new signings, with Luke Southwood and Ryan Howley switching from Bolton Wanderers and Coventry City, respectively.
Regularly training twice a day, the team and staff also got together in the evenings off the pitch, playing bingo and a quiz to boost the togetherness and familiarity.
After plenty of intense work, the Gas concluded their tour with a testing pre-season fixture against Sky Bet League One side Stockport County. Despite the Hatters gaining a two-goal advantage, Rovers displayed tremendous spirit to level the contest after strikes from Ollie Dewsbury and Luke Thomas before Stockport won it late on through Che Gardner.
The Pirates have four pre-season fixtures remaining and will travel to Bath City and Yeovil Town next week before hosting Frank Lampard's Coventry City at The Memorial Stadium for Clarke's return to BS7. Rovers then finish their preparations for the new campaign with a trip to Oxford United.
