The Gas dominated the shots and the possession, with Luke Thomas, Taylor Moore and Fabrizio Cavegn all going close before Rovers won it with seconds remaining.
Jack Sparkes' corner was fumbled by Luca Ashby-Hammond, allowing Kamil Conteh to convert his first goal for the Gas from close range. The Pirates will find out who they will face in the Round of 32 when the draw takes place on Thursday at 2:30pm.
