Darrell Clarke was left frustrated after Bristol Rovers fell to a narrow 1-0 defeat to Gillingham despite a dominant performance.
The Pirates were looking to make it back-to-back wins to start November after beating Bromley in the first round of the Emirates FA Cup last weekend. They started quickly, having six corners in the opening 20 minutes, before conceding against the run of play.
Luke Southwood saved the following spot-kick from Max Clark before the 29-year-old thumped a right-footed effort past the goalkeeper with a superb effort in the second half. Rovers put the pressure on in the final moments, with Kamil Conteh hitting the bar and Freddie Issaka having a shot cleared off the line.
Speaking to BRTV after the fixture, Clarke was disappointed with the loss after a game full of chances for the Gas.
