What’s the story?

It has been a tremendous campaign for the Gas Girls.

An immense run of form has seen the side drop points in just two of their 14 league matches so far, with 12 wins in the competition contributing to a total of 37 points.

Bristol Rovers Women have been in fine goalscoring form too, winning 4-0 and 5-0 against Frampton Rangers and Forest Green Rovers respectively in their last two home matches.

Previous Meetings…

The Gas Girls actually played Liskeard Athletic in their very first match of the 2023/24 season, facing Sunday’s opponents in a close-fought outing.

Abigail Hughes, Scarlett Mills and Abigail Todd got the goals for Rovers in a hard-fought 3-2 win.

What else is happening?

The Memorial Stadium will be a hive of activity and fun for all the family in the build-up to kick-off at 2pm on Sunday.

Her Game Too will be in the fan zone handing out handwaver flags and selling specially-written progammes, with any funds raised going back into grassroots girls football in Bristol.

Operation Christmas Hamper will be running a Charity Wax, while Club Partner Utilita will also be at The Mem to promote the Football Rebooted campaign, raising awareness of local collection points for young players who need football boots to play.

There will also be a face-painter in attendance, and a live band playing music in the fan zone.

After the final whistle, the Gas Girls will be presented with the South West Women's Regional League (Premier Division) trophy.
