Match Preview | Rovers v Blackpool

Sky Bet League One action returns to The Mem on Saturday 20th January, when Rovers will host Blackpool, with a 3pm kick-off time.

In the reverse fixture, Rovers were defeated 3-1 at Bloomfield Road, after going 1-0 down in the 21st-minute to a spectacular 30-yard strike from Ollie Norburn. Although John Marquis equalised in the 25th-minute, Jake Beesley put the hosts ahead as the second-half began, and Rovers were later caught on the counter whilst pushing for their second goal, giving Blackpool their third.

Rovers look to bounce back from their 3-1 defeat against Norwich on Wednesday, which saw them exit the FA Cup, despite a spirited performance. Blackpool also exited the FA Cup on the same night, as Chris Wood put Nottingham Forest 3-2 ahead in extra-time.

Blackpool currently sit 8th in the league table, on 42 points, having won 3 of their last 5.
