James Belshaw has joined Harrogate Town on a permanent basis, for an undisclosed fee.
The 33-year-old first joined Harrogate in 2017, staying for four years and playing an instrumental part in their promotion to League Two in 2020. Belshaw joined Rovers in the summer of 2021, becoming a key player in yet another promotion, in Rovers' sensational 2021/22 campaign. The goalkeeper was later named as Rovers' Player of the Year.
In May 2022, James was awarded the PFA Community Champion award by our Community Trust, in recognition of his his work with them over the course of the season, including becoming health ambassador and supporting their various mental health schemes.
Everyone at the club would like to thank James for what he achieved during his time here; he became a fan favourite and a club legend, and will always be welcomed with open arms at Bristol Rovers.
