The hosts enjoyed plenty of the ball in the opening minutes but couldn't quite find a clear-cut opportunity until Aaron Collins' long-range effort just after the 25th minute.
Minutes later, Sam Finley unlocked the Lincoln defence with two outstanding passes, the best of which found Collins who fired a shot at goal but was well-saved by Jensen.
Just before the halftime whistle, Rovers captain Sam Finley picked up a yellow card for his late tackle and following dissent to the referee.
The hosts made one change at halftime bringing off the booked Finley for Antony Evans.
Not long after the break, Lincoln took the lead through Adam Jackson after finding himself open in the box.
Despite being a goal down, Rovers still had plenty of the ball but struggled to convert the possession into a clear chance.

As the game was coming to a close, Lincoln broke through on a counter-attack but couldn't get past Cox who kept Rovers level and the final whistle blew.
