Bristol Rovers has teamed up with Avon & Somerset Police to be an official drop-off point for old football boots to be donated to the “Boots for Youth" initiative.
The scheme was first launched in 2021 by the former Rovers defender Graham Day’s son, Ryan, who is now a PC for Avon & Somerset Police. Ryan is asking people to donate their used football boots so that they can be passed on to disadvantaged children.
Ryan will be on Radio Bristol tomorrow (Saturday) morning to talk about the cause.
Graham made 130 appearances for Rovers between 1974 and 1979, and passed away aged 67 in 2021.
Anyone who wants to drop off their boots (size 4 - 11) can do so at the Club Shop.
