Bristol Rovers will be doing a bucket collection at Saturday’s game with Accrington Stanley to raise money for defender Nick Anderton, as he battles against a rare form of bone cancer.
The hosts have kindly agreed to the Gas bringing 16 buckets up to the Wham Stadium on Saturday, January 14th for the Sky Bet League One game.
Fans of either team can donate money, should they wish - all funds raised will go to Nick, who played for both sides during his career.
Rovers players and staff are to shave their heads next week in support of Nick as he undergoes chemotherapy treatment.
