Ryan made his professional debut against Birmingham City in August 2015, coming on as a second-half substitute. He scored his first goals for the club during an EFL Trophy clash against Wycombe Wanderers in 2017. During his time at the Gas, Ryan made 12 appearances and scored two goals.
