Antony Evans' penalty secured the points for Rovers on Tuesday evening in what was a thoroughly professional performance from Joey Barton's side.

Form Guide

Wade Elliott's side currently find themselves in 19th place in the League One standings, with 14 points from 12 games. Across their last five league fixtures, Cheltenham have picked up nine points from a possible 15, winning three of those five fixtures and losing two. Their most recent game against Sheffield Wednesday ended in a 3-0 defeat.

Alfie May and Daniel N'Lundulu have both scored three league goals so far this season and are Cheltenham's top scorers in the competition. Cheltenham have found goals hard to come by in the league, with only four other players finding the back of the net for the Robins this season.

Familiar Faces

Liam Sercombe and Ryan Broom are the two former Rovers players who currently ply their trade for Cheltenham. Sercombe signed for Rovers in 2017 and made his debut on the opening day of the season in a 1-0 defeat against Charlton Athletic. While at Rovers, Sercombe played 127 games, scoring 19 goals across all competitions.

Ryan Broom came through the academy ranks at Rovers before departing for Cheltenham in 2018. He joined the club in 2013 and graduated from the youth set-up in 2015. Ryan made his professional debut against Birmingham City in August 2015, coming on as a second-half substitute. He scored his first goals for the club during an EFL Trophy clash against Wycombe Wanderers in 2017. During his time at the Gas, Ryan made 12 appearances and scored two goals.
