Rovers legends to take part in event at Bradford match

1 April 2022

Tomorrow's match versus Bradford City is playing host to the Annual Rovers History Day, between 12:30pm and 2:30pm in the Thatchers Bar.

The History Group has invited former Rovers legends Harold Jarman (pictured), Paul Randall and Ian Alexander and it is set to be a memorable occasion.

The group will be donating to the club a turnstile from Eastville Stadium and three North Grandstand seats. During half-time, Eric Whitlock is going to present to owner Wael al-Qadi the Bristol Rovers medal from 1889, which fans crowdfunded most of the £1,000 cost.

Club Historian Mike Jay said: "We are very much looking forward to the event and it will be great to see the turnstile returned to its rightful place."
