Born in Reading, Reiss Russell-Denny joined Chelsea's U8s and progressed through the ranks, featuring in the Blues' team that lifted the U18s Premeir League Cup in the 2021/22 campaign and the U18s Premier League's southern division in the 2023/24 season.
The midfielder then signed for Spurs in February 2025 and has featured 31 times in all competitions, netting six goals and providing two assists, captaining the side on several occasions. Last season, he featured against the Pirates in the EFL Trophy, providing two assists in a 4-4 draw at The Memorial Stadium before the Gas won on penalties. Russell-Denny has also appeared on the international stage, playing for England U17s at the World Cup and also appearing for the Young Lions' U18s and U19s teams.
Russell-Denny joined the Gas on loan from Spurs in August 2026 and made his debut less than 24 hours after signing, coming off the bench in Rovers' Carabao Cup Round One defeat to Peterborough United.
The midfielder then made his first start in the blue-and-white quarters against Cobham Next Gen in the EFL Trophy, proving an assist for Joe Quigley.
