Jack Sparkes joined Bristol Rovers from Peterborough United in June 2025, signing a two-year contract with the Gas.
Sparkes began his career with Exeter City and made his professional debut on August 12 2017 in a draw against Swindon Town. He made six competitive appearances across the 2017/18 season before spending two stints on loan in the 2018/19 campaign: a month with Chippenham Town in National League South and then an extended spell with Southern Premier League Side Salisbury.
Returning to Exeter City for the 2019/20 campaign and making 26 appearances in all competitions before an injury ruled him out, he returned to feature for the Grecians in the League Two play-offs. The defender made 24 appearances in the 2021/22 season for Exeter before joining Torquay United on a short-term loan.
The defender signed for Sky Bet League One side Portsmouth in June 2023 and made 43 appearances, helping them secure their promotion to the Sky Bet Championship.
He signed for Peterborough in July 2024 and made 28 competitive outings before spending the second half of the season on loan with League Two side Chesterfield Town, helping them reach the play-off semi-finals.
