On Thursday 23 April 2026, Bristol Rovers Football Club held the eighth meeting of the Supporter Consultation Group with nominated representatives.

Chief Executive Officer Ritchie Bates and Head of Media & Engagement Mitch Waddon met with the representatives to discuss the agreed action points from the previous meeting and raise other queries and questions, as bought forward by members of the Bristol Rovers fanbase.

At the meeting, the future of the Supporter Consultation Group was also discussed. Following discussions between the Club and the Football Supporters' Association, Bristol Rovers has taken the decision to shift the SCG into a fully FSA-compliant Fan Advisory Board.

Further details regarding the positions on the Fan Advisory Board and how to apply will be provided in due course.

The full minutes of the eighth meeting can be found here.

Head Of Media & Engagement Mitch Waddon said: "I’d like to thank all members of the Supporter Consultation Group for their time, commitment, openness and the constructive way they have engaged with the Club. Their insight and challenge have played an important role in strengthening transparency and shaping a more meaningful dialogue with all Gasheads over the last year.

"That work has provided a strong foundation as we move into the Fan Advisory Board which, with the guidance of the Football Supporters' Association, will allow for even greater fan engagement at Bristol Rovers. We look forward to sharing more details about the FAB in the near future and building an even stronger relationship with our supporters."

Ian Sams, Chair of the Supporter Consultation Group, said: "It is commendable that our Club has been one of the few in the EFL to operate a fan body such as the Supporter Consultation Group 12 months before any statutory requirements. As your representatives, we have wanted to always ensure the SCG remained an independent body that felt comfortable discussing difficult topics with and challenging the Club. Our right to be independent was never challenged by Bristol Rovers in any way and I hope other supporters feel we never failed to raise any of their issues or concerns at our meetings.

"We are all truly proud of the efforts we have put in to improving the supporter experience at Bristol Rovers, such as our work on Season Tickets, concessions and offerings across the Fanzone. We also appreciate the Club's trust in us when discussing topics of a confidential nature to ensure an appropriate fan opinion was taken into consideration. As the Club moves forward and transitions to a Fan Advisory Board, I would encourage all Gasheads to engage positively with the new board help those involved to push for the thing we all want; a better Club."
