Bristol Rovers is delighted to confirm the permanent appointment of Steve Evans as the Men’s First Team Manager.

Evans, who initially joined the Gas in December, has penned a deal until 2028 to remain with the Club.

Paul Raynor has also agreed to extend his stay with Bristol Rovers, following Evans in signing a new contract until 2028.

Evans and Raynor have overseen a vast improvement in results since their appointment in BS7, leading Rovers to five consecutive league victories for the first time in a decade and collecting 25 points from the last 30 available.

“It’s fantastic to be at Bristol Rovers,” Evans said. “I’m proud to be here. This is a big football club, and the board have big ambitions. I hope to be the guy who gives the Gas family some memorable days in the coming months and years ahead.

"The support has been unbelievable since I walked in. As soon as we started putting a bit of work in the team, and we saw them start to produce the type of performance that we want them to do, the fans have grabbed it and they’ve been tremendous. They are a big reason for why I am here.

"The board have also been absolutely phenomenal with me. Our Chairman, I have had four or five meetings on this with him and he, Abdullatif [AlSaeed], Khaled [Alkandari], Abdulaziz [Alroomi], every one of them has had an input in talking to me and planning for now, for the summer and for the future, so my sincere thank you goes to each of them.”

Bristol Rovers Chairman Hussain AlSaeed said: “We are pleased that Steve has committed his future to Bristol Rovers. Since his arrival, there has been clear progress on the pitch, reflected in both performances and results, and that has given the Club a strong foundation to build upon.

“Our focus is on long-term stability and growth. We are fully committed to supporting Steve and the football department as we look to build on this momentum and move the Club forward in the seasons ahead.”
