Bristol Rovers will face Weston-super-Mare and Portsmouth as part of our 2026 pre-season preparations.
The two fixtures have been added to the schedule alongside matches against Salisbury, Forest Green Rovers and Yate Town, which were announced in May.
A Bristol Rovers XI will travel to The Optima Stadium to face National League South outfit Weston-super-Mare on Tuesday 7 July, for the first pre-season fixture ahead of the 2026/27 Sky Bet League Two campaign, with kick-off at 7:15pm.
The Pirates last faced their West Country neighbours in the first round of the Emirates FA Cup in November 2024, with Jamie Lindsay, Grant Ward and Connor Taylor netting in a 3-1 triumph for Rovers.
Four days after the Pirates face Leicester City at The Memorial Stadium, Rovers will return to BS7 to play Sky Bet Championship team Portsmouth on Saturday 18 July, with kick-off at 3pm.
The Gas came from behind to beat Pompey in their previous meeting back in December 2023, with Antony Evans and Luke Thomas netting late goals in a 2-1 triumph.
