Ritchie Bates appointed Bristol Rovers CEO

Bristol Rovers is delighted to announce the appointment of Ritchie Bates as the Club’s Chief Executive Officer.

As CEO, Bates will oversee the Club’s daily operation and advance strategic objectives. Working closely with the Chairman and Board Of Directors, Bates will drive Bristol Rovers’ growth and performance while strengthening relationships with supporters, partners and the wider community.

Bates joined Rovers as Director Of Revenue in August 2024 and, prior to his appointment at The Memorial Stadium, spent 12 years working across the EFL with Port Vale, Lincoln City, and Macclesfield Town.

Bates said: “I am deeply honoured and privileged to accept the role of Chief Executive Officer of Bristol Rovers Football Club. This is a very proud moment for me and my family. I want to express my sincere thanks to the Chairman and the Board of Directors for their trust and support.

“I also want to thank our incredible fans for their unwavering dedication and commitment. Your personal support since I joined the Club has meant so much to me, and I am truly grateful.
