It was a busy day for Bristol Rovers on Wednesday, with Gasheads getting the chance to purchase the new Primary Kit, watch Steve Evans announce the Gas' latest signing and come together to watch England roar to victory in the World Cup in the fanzone.
The action started at midday, where Gasheads got down to The Mem to get their hands on the first Rovers kit designed in collaboration with our new Technical Kit Provider, PUMA.
Before stepping into the Club Shop, there was a fresh look on the outside, with men's players Clinton Mola, Alfie Kilgour and Ellis Harrison and women's players Ruby Scahill and Chloe Snook on an impressive sign to the right of the door. You can purchase the Primary Kit from the Club Shop all week, including this Saturday and Sunday, where it is open between 10am and 1pm.
Following the successful Champions League Final event on Saturday 30 May, where over 300 people joined to watch PSG defeat Arsenal on penalties, Wednesday evening also saw the first World Cup event at The Mem.
Fans got in early to watch Portugal face DR Congo, whilst enjoying £4.50 pints, indoor and outdoor seating, live music, burgers and fries.
Additionally, Manager Steve Evans spent time with Gasheads in the fanzone before his 7pm announcement, where he revealed the Pirates had signed fans' favourite Tommy Leigh on a season-long loan from Bradford, with the midfielder netting four goals and registering two assists for Rovers last term.
Then it was time for England to start their World Cup campaign against Croatia, with kick-off at 9pm. Over 600 people packed into the fanzone for a six-goal thriller, with the Three Lions coming away with the victory thanks to a brace from Harry Kane and goals from Jude Bellingham and Marcus Rashford.
Make sure to come down and support England for their next World Cup fixture against Ghana on Tuesday 23 June, with kick-off at 9pm. Make sure to get in early to get your seat, with doors open at 5pm for Portugal's match against Uzbekistan.
