Bristol Rovers supporters are requested to be in their seats early ahead of Saturday’s Sky Bet League Two match with Colchester United as we remember those who are no longer with us.
Our dedicated Memorial Fixture gives Gasheads the opportunity to celebrate the lives of those who associated with the Club who have sadly passed away in the last 12 months and recognise their support and contribution to Bristol Rovers.
The names of those submitted to the Club will be displayed on our Big Screen as part of a Memorial Ceremony, hosted by our Club Chaplain the Reverend Wayne Massey, which will commence at 2.40pm – twenty minutes before kick-off in Saturday’s contest - once the players have left the pitch after their pre-match warm-ups.
Each name will be individually read out by Reverend Massey in a moment of remembrance, with supporters encouraged to observe a period of reflection with us before a collective round of applause at the end of the memorial.
