Meet The Officials | Crewe Alexandra (A)

Referee Michael Barlow

Referee Michael Barlow will be the referee for Bristol Rovers' trip to Crewe Alexandra in Sky Bet League Two.

The Pirates' final away fixture of 2025 will be Barlow's first-ever Rovers fixture, with his only Crewe fixture coming last season in Sky Bet League Two, where the Railwaymen drew 1-1 with Harrogate Town at the Exercise Stadium.

Barlow has refereed 49 times in the National League North, more than any other competition in his career, overseeing 13 matches in the fourth tier.

The referee has officiated nine games across all competitions this campaign: four in Sky Bet League Two, three in the National League, one in the Vertu Trophy and one in the Emirates FA Cup.

Barlow's previous fixture came in Sky Bet League Two on December 13 2025, with Cheltenham Town drawing 1-1 with Harrogate.

Alongside him will be assistant referees Anthony Moore and Simon Robinson. Matthew Moss has been appointed as the fourth official.
