Meet The Officials | Cheltenham Town (A)

Paul Howard

Experienced referee Paul Howard will be officiating Bristol Rovers' upcoming Sky Bet League Two fixture against Cheltenham Town at the EV Charger Points Stadium.

Howard has previously refereed seven fixtures, including the Gas, with his last match coming last season when Rovers lost away to Lincoln City. He has overseen one fixture between Cheltenham and Rovers, with it coming at the home of the Robins, with Scott Sinclair, Brandon Aguilera and Elkan Baggott scoring in a 3-1 victory for the Gas.

In fact, that game back in April 2024 was the last time he refereed a fixture including Cheltenham. Howard has also officiated seven fixtures, including the Robins, all being home matches for the Gloucestershire side.

Howard has refereed over 200 fixtures in his career, with 67 coming in Sky Bet League Two, more than any other competition. He has overseen seven fixtures this term, with his previous game also coming in the fourth tier. It was an entertaining clash between Gillingham and Crawley last weekend, with the score ending 2-2.

Alongside him will be assistant referees Niall Felton and Harley Mckittrick. Daniel Robinson has been appointed as the fourth official.
