Meet The Officials | Barnet (A)

Lee Swabey

Experienced referee Lee Swabey will be the man in the middle for Bristol Rovers' trip to Barnet in Sky Bet League Two on Tuesday night.

He has not refereed any other team more than Rovers, with an incredible 19 games on his record, level with Newport County and Forest Green Rovers.

His first four games with the Pirates came in the 2014/15 season, with victories at The Memorial Stadium over Wrexham and Lincoln City, sandwiched between a home defeat to Forest Green. He also refereed the Gas' play-off semi-final first leg against Green Army, with Darrell Clarke's men winning 1-0 thanks to Matty Taylor's goal.

Swabey's previous Rovers fixture was his only one with the Pirates in the 2024/25 campaign, in which Promise Omochere netted a late equaliser in a 1-1 draw with Wrexham at The Mem.

He has already refereed Barnet this season, with Bromley beating Dean Brennan's men 2-0 in Sky Bet League Two. Swabey has refereed one match between Rovers and Barnet, with the Bees coming away with a 2-1 win in an Emirates FA Cup first round replay in the 2014/15 season.

Swabey has overseen 123 Sky Bet League Two fixtures, refereeing more in the fourth tier than any other competition. However, his previous match came in the Emirates FA Cup, where Swindon Town beat Bolton Wanderers 4-0 in the second round.

Alongside him will be assistant referees Daniel D'Urso and Alex Bradley. Morgan Conn has been appointed as the fourth official.
