Wycombe Wanderers v Bristol Rovers
Jersey Mike's Trophy, Adams Park, Tuesday 6 October 2026, 7pm KO
Bristol Rovers will look to claim their first Jersey Mike's Trophy victory of the season when they travel to Sky Bet League One outfit Wycombe Wanderers on Tuesday night.
The Gas' last match in the competition came at the end of August against Chelsea U21s. Steve Evans' men had a two-goal lead after efforts from Mees Rijks and Joe Quigley. However, Harrison Bettoni and Chizaram Ezenwata levelled it at The Memorial Stadium, with the Blues going on to win 4-2 on penalties.
The game comes at the right time for Rovers, who will want to bounce back from a 3-1 away defeat to Crewe Alexandra in the fourth tier. A Jack Lankester brace and a goal from Jordan Gibson gave the Railwaymen a three-goal advantage before Bobby Kamwa netted a stunning consolation in stoppage time.
Due to the international break, Wycombe's Sky Bet League One match against Bromley was postponed on Saturday. The Chairboys' previous match came a week before, a 2-2 draw against Reading in the third tier.

Travel...
If driving, supporters are advised to allow two hours for the journey. Fans travelling from Bristol could utilise the M4 east before taking the A404 into Berkshire, and then linking up onto the A4010. Alternatively, leave the M4 at junction 13, onto the A34, and head south-east around Oxford before joining the A4010.
If travelling by train, supporters should note that there are regular routes through from Bristol Temple Meads to High Wycombe, with changes at Didcot Parkway and Oxford. However, all return journeys will cease before the final whistle at Adams Park Stadium on Tuesday evening so alternative arrangements would need to be made.
Opposition...
Wycombe are 12th in Sky Bet League One and will have ambitions of gaining promotion to the Sky Bet Championship for the first time since the 2020/21 campaign.
The Chairboys were winless in their first five league outings, drawing three and losing two, with a 3-3 draw against Milton Keynes Dons being Michael Duff's final match in charge of the club.
Interim head coach Tom Hounsell has impressed in the dugout, securing away wins over Leyton Orient and Wigan Athletic in his first two matches in charge. Wycombe then drew 2-2 with Reading last time out, with new addition Danny Ings bagging a 90th-minute equaliser on his debut.
In terms of the Jersey Mike's Trophy, Wycombe top the Southern Group C, losing to Reading on penalties in the first match before beating Chelsea U21s in the second. Mohamed Keita and Caolan Boyd-Munce scored before Harrison Bettoni got one back for the Blues.
Alongside Ings, who has 72 Premier League goals in 240 games, Wycombe also signed Exeter City forward Jayden Wareham in the summer. The 23-year-old netted 19 times in the third tier last year and has already bagged three in four this term.
They have also made the most of the loan market to bolster the attack, with Emre Tezgel and Malik Mothersille joining on loan from Stoke City and Stockport County. Goalkeepers Conor Hazard, Joe Wildsmith and Matt Macey also came in, with Steve Cook adding experience to the defence.
Previous Meetings...
Rovers have lost eight of their last nine matches against Wycombe across all competitions, with their last victory over the Chairboys coming in August 2018. The Pirates beat their upcoming opponents at Adams Park, with James Clarke and Tony Craig scoring for the Gas in a 2-1 triumph.
The Pirates also put on a five-star performance in their last EFL Trophy game against Wycombe, with braces from Dom Telford and Ryan Broom and a curling effort from Liam Sercombe helping Rovers to a 5-1 victory.
Wycombe beat the Gas in the previous clash, with Cameron Humphreys and Daniel Udoh scoring second-half goals in a 2-0 win.
