Peterborough United v Bristol Rovers
Sky Bet League One, Weston Homes Stadium, Saturday 21 September, 3:00pm
Bristol Rovers will attempt to return to winning ways when they travel to Peterborough United in Sky Bet League One.
The Gas lost for the first time at The Memorial Stadium last weekend after starting the season with two home victories in the third tier, beating Northampton Town and Cambridge United before losing 4-0 to Wigan Athletic.
Joe Hugill scored a brace in the first half before goals after the break from Thelo Aasgaard and Luke Chambers confirmed the three points for the Latics.
Peterborough drew 1-1 with promotion rivals Lincoln City in their previous match and will be looking to push towards the playoff positions.

Opposition...
Peterborough were relegated from the Championship in the 2021/22 season and have been one of the strongest performers in League One in the last two campaigns.
The Posh have twice lost in the semi-finals of the playoffs, first to Sheffield Wednesday before faltering against Oxford United last term, with both of their opponents gaining promotion at Wembley.
It has been an indifferent start for Peterborough, collecting seven points from their first five games, leaving them in eleventh position and above Rovers on goal difference.
However, a slower start than they would have hoped could be down to them losing some crucial players. Academy graduates Harrison Burrows and Ronnie Edwards departed for Sheffield United and Southampton, respectively.
Josh Knight also left for Hannover 96 on a free transfer.
Sam Curtis made a loan move from the Blades and has played all five games so far, with Oscar Wallin and Jack Sparkes also ever-present after permanently switching from Degerfors and Portsmouth, respectively.
Previous Meetings...
Peterborough have gotten the better of Rovers recently and have only lost one of the previous eighteen meetings in all competitions.
Darren Ferguson’s men beat the Gas 2-0 home and away last term, with the Pirates’ previous win coming in 2022 at The Memorial Stadium. Scott Sinclair scored the only goal in a 1-0 victory over the Posh.
Rovers last beat Peterborough on their travels in February 2006, with Richard Walker and Junior Agogo scoring in a 2-1 triumph.
