Opposition...

Swindon Town have enjoyed a perfect start to their campaign. After opening the season with a 4 - 1 win over Maidenhead, five consecutive league victories followed, and the team now remain unbeaten in both league and cup competitions.

Like Rovers, Swindon progressed to the second round of the FA Cup at the weekend, thanks to a first-half goal from Taylor MacDonald. Only two points separate the sides heading into Tuesday’s match, with a single draw for Rovers being the difference.

The match promises to be a tight contest, with both sides having scored 19 goals so far. Yet the Gas Girls hold the advantage on goal difference and remain the only team in the league with a perfect defensive record of six straight clean sheets … and counting!

Last Meeting …

The two sides are no strangers to close competition. Last season, Swindon Town finished third while Rovers followed closely behind in fourth, with just a single point separating them in the final standings.

In their first meeting, the points were shared after a dramatic finish saw Meg Jarvis strike deep into added time to secure a 1–1 draw. When the sides met again later in the season, Rovers came out on top. Nia Rees opened the scoring just before the half-time whistle before Jarvis doubled the lead in the second half to seal a 2 - 0 victory away at Foundation Park.
