Jack Sparkes and his partner, Abbie, will be running the AJ Bell Bristol Half-Marathon on Sunday 10 May in support of the British Heart Foundation.
Lily, Jack and Abbie’s daughter, was welcomed into the world in 2023, and was instantly adored by her entire family, always seen with a smile on her face and described as lighting up every room.
At just two years old, after many visits to the doctors and the hospital ended in being unable to find what was wrong, Lily was diagnosed with a heart condition.
As soon as her heart is strong enough, Lily will undergo open heart surgery at Bristol Royal Hospital for Children.
