The Pirates were looking to bounce back from their 3-1 loss away at Crewe Alexandra on Saturday, but fell behind within four minutes after Malik Mothersille struck a low effort through Charlie Binns and into the back of the net.
Emre Tezgel then doubled the Chairboys' advantage before Cauley Woodrow added a goal to his two assists, clinically finishing into the bottom right corner. Ellis Harrison came off the bench to get one back for the Pirates before being denied a second after a fine save from Joe Wildsmith.
The Gas pushed for a way back into the contest, but Wycombe scored against the run of play to complete the triumph. Tezgel was at it again, with Jack Grimmer's dropping straight into his path for an easy finish.
