Hamper charity gears up for 2025!

Operation Community Hamper

Bristol Rovers is delighted to welcome Operation Community Hamper to The Memorial Stadium on Saturday 29 November as part of their Christmas campaign.

The organisation was established by lifelong Gashead Charlotte Churchill, who recognised that an excessive number of vulnerable families were accessing local food banks during the COVID pandemic.

Operation Community Hamper (OCH) now operates on the back of recommendations from professional establishments, such as schools, health professionals, nurseries, and social services, who refer disadvantaged families or individuals for additional help.

Formally known as Operation Christmas Hamper, the name changed in July 2024 when they became a registered charity, as organisers realised that they were offering support throughout the year, not only at Christmas. This support includes buying groceries, paying for enriching activities for families, topping up gas and electric meters and purchasing essential furniture.

If you would like to support the campaign, please bring sweet treats, toiletries, drinks, savoury snacks or other items to The Mem on Saturday 29 November before our fixture against Notts County. There will be a van parked at the top of the car park next to the ticket office.
