Look through the gallery from a wonderful evening at The Memorial Stadium after eight talented young players penned a two-year scholarship at Bristol Rovers.
Will Wilson, Henry De-long, Excel Iwhiwhu, Adedeji Odumboni, Jack Toogood, Jay Horgan, Ciaran O’Donnell and Woody Cole all signed their respective scholarships with the Academy, each looking to progress their individual and collective development through the scholarship programme by getting regular experience for the U18s side.
The event's purpose was for the Academy to officially induct the next cohort of players who will begin their two-year scholarship with the Football Club at the start of July 2025. The event, led by Byron Anthony (Academy Manager) and Bobby-McKenzie Black (Professional Development Phase Lead Coach), consisted of various presentations from core MDT Staff to best prepare players for their upcoming scholarship.
Head of Athletic Development Brad Stalley and Will Morford from League Football Education also spoke before the players headed out onto the pitch to take pictures with their shirts and families.
