The Gas were too strong for the visitors and raced into a four-goal lead at half-time. Chloe Bassett was at the heart of Rovers' attacks and caused problems with her deliveries from the left.
First, her whipped cross was dropped by Portishead's goalkeeper and into the feet of Nia Rees, who blasted her strike into the back of the net. Then, she curled a free-kick high into the air, with the opposition shot-stopper punching it towards Laura Barrett, who headed it in next to the goal.
Rees then got her second, timing her run perfectly to get onto Bassett's cutback to get the Pirates' third before Ameilie Gould scored just before half-time with a composed finish. The score remained the same until the final moments of the contest, with Chloe Joyce getting a late fifth to net her first goal for the Club and complete a perfect performance.
