In a dramatic five-goal thriller, the Pirates fell behind inside the first four minutes when Tom Naylor's close-range header beat Brad Young before goals either side of half-time from Shaq Forde turned the score around.
The Gas' No7 headed in his first after getting on the end of Riley Harbottle's flick before finishing his second with composure. However, Chesterfield levelled almost immediately, with Naylor getting his second before James Berry completed the Spireites' comeback with a sublime first-time finish.
