The Pirates were looking for their fourth win in five outings at The Memorial Stadium and had to come from behind to win after Alfie Pond broke the deadlock in the first half, bundling the ball in from close range.
Steve Evans made three changes at half-time, with his tactical switch proving to be the difference maker. Tommy Leigh, brought in on loan from Bradford City, thumped in a header from close range to level the score with a few minutes left to play.
As the fixture headed into stoppage time, the Pirates were in the ascendancy and scored the winner in the final moments. Leigh was at it again, this time driving his strike into the bottom corner to complete the comeback for the Gas.
