Bristol Rovers striker Fabrizio Cavegn has been voted the Christophe Duchamp Player Of The Month for September!
The 23-year-old forward, who signed for the Gas in the summer transfer window from FC Vaduz, was voted by supporters as the men's first team's star performer in the second month of the 2025/26 season.
The attacker received an outstanding majority of the vote (75 per cent), beating goalkeeper Luke Southwood (17 per cent) and midfielder Alfie Chang (seven per cent) to the second award of the campaign after captain Alfie Kilgour won the inaugural award.
Cavegn netted in three consecutive games for Rovers in the fourth tier in September, netting in home wins over Barrow and Salford City, either side of an away draw against Colchester United.
Cavegn was presented with a Christopher Duchamp watch at The Quarters Training Facility in recognition of his achievement and was delighted with the award, stating that he wanted to score for the fans as soon as he signed in the summer.
"It means a lot to me," he told BRTV. "I am very happy, and I want to thank the Gasheads and everyone who voted for me. I am very thankful.
"Every goal and every good game gives me confidence, and as a striker, if you score, then everything is fun. If I have to pick a favourite one, it is the goal against Colchester with the left foot, I think it's this one. But I prefer the one from last Saturday in the 2-1 against Salford. I could celebrate in front of the fans and in front of the Gasheads. It was very nice and a very good feeling.
"The first time I saw a game here, I said to my girlfriend and to my family that I couldn't wait to score goals in front of the Gasheads, and now it's happening."
