The Pirates were looking to build on their impressive 3-1 victory over Grimsby Town in Sky Bet League Two, with Steve Evans deciding to name an unchanged team. After a quiet start to the contest, Kane Thompson-Sommers scored a stunning first goal in the blue-and-white quarters.
Ellis Harrison unlocked the midfield with a quick free-kick. However, Thompson-Sommers still had plenty to do, running forward with possession before cutting onto his left foot and bending a shot across the goal and into the bottom corner.
Ollie Palmer levelled the score just before the hour, blasting a first-time strike beyond Brad Young, but the Robins could not find a second after gaining momentum. Fabrizio Cavegen then poked a shot wide for the Gas just before the end, with the score ending level and the points shared.
