After four consecutive league wins, the Gas were looking for a fifth against the Sulphurites. Harrogate began as the stronger side, breaking the deadlock with Ellis Taylor's curled strike on the stroke of the half-hour mark.
Steve Evans made two changes to his side in the second half, which proved to be the ingredient to the Pirates' success. Substitute Tommy Leigh provided an assist for Shaq Forde, who rushed inside from the wing before driving a low shot into the bottom right corner.
The hosts looked for another, with Taylor completing his brace quickly after the Gas' effort. The Pirates responded soon after, as Forde played a low cross towards Harrison to tap in. The striker then slammed a penalty into the back of the net to complete Rovers' comeback.
