The midfielder, who scored twice in the Gas' comeback victory over Crewe Alexandra, raced towards Jack Sparkes' searching ball into the box before directing his effort past Wyll Stanway, with his strike hitting both posts before going in.
The Gas had all of the momentum and sealed all three points with a second goal after half-time. Joel Senior raced down the right and slid a pass across to Fabrizio Cavegn, who scored from close range.
