Bristol Rovers is delighted to announce that Steve Evans has been nominated for the March Sky Bet League Two Manager Of The Month Award.
The Pirates enjoyed a successful month under Evans, winning five of their previous six matches. The Gas started March with a 2-1 victory over Crewe Alexandra at The Memorial Stadium, staging a late comeback thanks to a Tommy Leigh brace.
The Gas then beat Barrow on the road three days later, with Leigh netting in the first half before Fabrizio Cavegn doubled Rovers' lead after the break to secure a 2-0 triumph.
Rovers then fell to a narrow 1-0 defeat to Bromley before three straight victories. The Pirates beat Shrewsbury Town at The Mem before coming from behind to beat Gillingham 2-1 at Priestfield Stadium. The Gas then concluded the month with a comfortable triumph over Accrington Stanley, with Riley Harbottle and Jack Sparkes scoring on either side of half-time.
