Bristol Rovers is delighted to confirm that Ellis Harrison has signed a new contract with the Club.

The forward has penned a new one-year contract, keeping him at the Memorial Stadium until the summer of 2027.

The 32-year-old rejoined his boyhood side in the summer after leaving Milton Keynes Dons and has netted 14 goals across all competitions for the Gas this season, with eleven coming in Sky Bet League Two.

Harrison started his career with the Pirates, coming through the Academy and scoring 52 goals across 205 appearances, helping the Club to back-to-back promotions from the Conference Premier to League Two and then League One between 2014-2016.

The Gasheads have been brilliant with me ever since I returned to the Club back in the summer, so it was a no-brainer to extend my stay here.

"I'm delighted to have signed a new contract at Rovers," said Harrison. "The Gasheads have been brilliant with me ever since I returned to the Club back last summer, so it was a no-brainer to extend my stay here.

"It is always a great feeling to play at The Mem, so getting my first goal of the season against Cambridge was fantastic, especially with it turning out to be the winning goal to seal our first victory of the campaign.

"My highlight of the campaign was to get to watch Locks return to football after everything he has been through. We're really close, so getting to share a dressing room with him again and the pitch was unforgettable, especially after sharing so many memories during my first spell at the Club.

"The team has shown real togetherness throughout the season, and it has really shown in the last couple of months, winning eight games on the bounce.

"The lads have been superb, and I'm glad I've been able to play my part with eight goals in eight games. The hat-trick against Cheltenham Town was certainly special and something I will never forget, with the levelling goal away at Notts County in front of almost 1,800 also amazing."

Harrison made his second debut for the Gas off the bench on the opening day of the 2025/26 season against Harrogate Town before netting his first goal of the campaign in a 1-0 win over Cambridge United at The Mem, with his fine close-range finish securing the Gas their first win of the campaign.

The forward netted against Newport County and Salford City to make it three goals in six outings, whilst also scoring three times in the Vertu Trophy before the end of 2025.

Harrison then had a superb April to help the Gas to eight straight wins, with five coming in the month. He bagged a brace in a 3-2 win away at Harrogate Town before scoring the first goal in Rovers' 3-1 home triumph over Crawley Town.

The 32-year-old then concluded April with a hat-trick, heading in at the start and end of the first half to give the Gas a two-goal lead against Cheltenham before chipping a clever effort over Joe Day to complete his scoring. Overall, he has played 43 matches across all competitions this term, with 37 coming in Sky Bet League Two.

Everyone at Bristol Rovers would like to congratulate Ellis on his new contract with the Club.
